About Me
I am a Korean-American therapist with 7+ years of working in the mental health field. My clinical work has been focused on supporting Asian American individuals in navigating mental health challenges through a lens of cultural responsiveness and historical trauma.
I have experience in facilitating groups and workshops related to mental health topics and healthy identity development. I am also a clinical supervisor to post-graduate social workers who are completing their training hours towards licensure.
My Approach
I have training in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety, and trauma, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I utilize an eclectic approach to find the modality or modalities that best suit your therapy needs. My aim is to work with your strengths and goals to collaborate in finding meaningful and lasting solutions. I enjoy utilizing creativity, humor, and mindfulness based practices in my therapeutic work.
